VT TALK – AG LEADER INTEGRA

Share

Since we work with ISOBUS, a communication protocol for the agriculture industry, here at Agtron, we thought it would be appropriate to devote a segment of our new blog to talking about the many different ISOBUS virtual terminals or VT’s. These blogs will only be discussing each virtual terminals pros and cons when it comes to look, feel, basic operation and functionality with ISOBUS. We will not be discussing each virtual terminals proprietary functionality. The segment will be call

ed VT Talk.

In Round 2 of VT Talk we will be discussing the Ag Leader Integra display.

The Ag Leader Integra display is a high end display, its main features include:

·         12.1” Full Colour HD Display

·         Touchscreen Display for ease of navigation

·         Virtual Terminal Capability

·         ISOBUS Task Controller (Up to 8 Granular Products)

·         Section Control Compatible

·         VGA output for connecting to projector for training purposes

·         USB port for data transfer

The fact that this display has a 12.1” full colour HD display that is touchscreen is a major bonus right off the bat. This makes reading and operating the display that much easier.

The big plus with the Ag Leader Integra that just came out in the last couple software upgrades was the ISOBUS seeding task controller. Included in the Task Controller is:

·Section Control

·Multiple Product Data Logging

· Multiple Product Implement Control.  The Integra can control up to 8 products. This is provided that you purchase the       Multiple  Product Unlock code from Ag Leader. ($800 price tag)

·Variable Rate Functionality

Using the task controller is very simple. Once the user has input his configuration setup. The configuration consists of a vehicle, implement & a device. The device being the ISOBUS controller on your implement. After that is input, the user can insert a USB device to import the task.

Once that is complete the user will select the Event (Task), then the product associated with that task. Now all the farmer has to do is drive into the selected field, make sure the map is on the screen and press the start button on the task. The user also has to push the workswitch once for the implement to start.

All in all the Integra is a very good display with some very good features.

What does everyone think of the Ag Leader Integra? Has anyone had a chance to use the ISOBUS Task Controller yet?
